Does Downtown Feel Older This Weekend? The AARP Is In Town

Keen observers can be excused for feeling like Downtown's median age has gone up just a little bit this weekend. 20,000 AARP members are in town for the organization's annual conference, Life@50+, which kicked off at the Convention Center on Thursday.

These seniors know how to have a good time: entertainers over the weekend include Lionel Richie and Tony Bennett. Tennis star Martina Navratilova led a fitness session on Friday morning, and Richard Simmons is in charge of getting the morning going on Saturday.

Not 50, but feel like following along at home? AARP is live-blogging the event.
