Heads up: LAPD (and helicopters) to join military in nighttime exercises
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — According to the Los Angeles Police Department, local police will be providing support to the military who will training in (and over) the city.
The training sites shouldn't affect traffic as they "have been carefully selected to ensure the event does not negatively impact the citizens of Los Angeles and their daily routine," a department official told reporters.
Although the exercises are closed to the public, if you look up in the sky tonight and tomorrow that familiar helicopter light and sound very well could be the military prepping to meet mandatory training certification requirements and handle urban scenarios overseas.

Was wondering as they sounded bigger and lower than LAPDs.

Thanks for the heads-up. I saw a military helicopter from my window yesterday, executing some sort of climb-and-dive maneuver, and thought for a moment it was gonna crash.
