Metro offers late notes for commuters affected by Blue Line outage

The Metro Blue Line experienced up to 2-hour delays this morning because of a power outage.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Metro is offering for commuters who were late to work or school this morning because of the power Blue Line power outage.
MTA officials said the outage caused delays from south of Watts at the Imperial/Wilmington station in Willowbrook, all the way to the 7th Street/Metro Center station in downtown Los Angeles,
that although some service was restored around 8:30 a.m., trains were only coming every 20 to 30 minutes.
Metro warns to still expect major crowds at the stops.
that MTA officials worked to get extra buses into the problem area to help light rail passengers around the gap.
"Up to 25 buses are being pulled off existing bus service to provide shuttling between stations," MTA officials said in a statement.
Travelers were also encouraged to drive or take an alternative route via bus.
