Street Finds: Fashion in Little Tokyo

This is Ben Huang. She's a fashion and costume designer. Her jacket is from a thrift store in San Francisco; everything else is "sadly" from Forever 21, she said. Huang adds that because she's a designer, she's "kind of anti-Forever 21."

For blogdowntown's first edition of Street Finds, we went to Little Tokyo looking for the slickest, weirdest and most covetable clothes we could find.

What better place to find shopping secrets than on streets lined with Hello Kitty paraphernalia, ramen restaurants and ice cream stores?

Little Tokyo has some of the best karaoke spots on the Eastside and in addition to retail stores of adorable knick-knacks and vintage finds, it has become a bustling spot for diners looking for authentic Japanese food.
