Build a Lego modern home to win a cash prize, Ice Cube poster and....more Legos!

Dust off those Lego building blocks and start constructing your dream modern home. In a competition put on by the architecture magazine Dwell and the ongoing art series Pacific Standard Time, participants are invited to use the colorful, notched building blocks to create a home "inspired by California mid-century modern design."

After your plastic home is built, it should be photographed and submitted to Dwell so the the public can vote for their top five submissions. Photos of homes are due by March 29 and voting begins April 1.

The five finalists will get their house on display at the Dwell-sponsored convention at the L.A. Convention Center in June. These winners will also get a "VIP pass" to said convention, as well as receiving two special architecture Lego sets (one is of the Empire State Building).

If you're Lego home towers far above the rest and wins first prize (which is chosen by design experts), prizes include $250 cash, a “Ice Cube Celebrates the Eames,” Pacific Standard Time poster, and special Lego Architecture building sets.

Pacific Standard Time is a six month, ongoing art exhibition taking place across Southern California. It began in October of last year and ends this April, and is meant to encompass the diversity and history behind L.A.'s art scene.
