The $40 million renovation on the Figueroa shopping complex is set to open in the Fall of this year. In addition to the highly anticipated Target, it will include a 25,000-square-foot food court named Taste. This space will have 500 seats, be "chef-driven" and include six gourmet restaurants.

Some of the complex's dining options were released today by Brookfield Office Properties and they run the gamut of upscale Mexican food to Sandwiches and salads, and Korean barbeque. Restaurants include Loteria Grill, Oleego by Park's Barbeque, Indus, Choppe Choppe and Juicy Lucy. Upscale coffee cafe Lamill has also planned a new location in the Downtown space -- in addition to their already existing Silver Lake spot.

"We are extremely excited to announce this amazing line-up of culinary talent as the anchors for Taste Figat7th," said Edward Hogan, Brookfield’s National Director of Retail Leasing. "We planned this unique dining experience to reflect the heart and soul of Downtown — fresh, creative and eclectic."

Highlights include: Choppe Choppe's sandwiches, soups and appetizers that are made with local produce and organic meats, and Indus' use of traditional clay Tandoor ovens that will be pumping out naan and Tandoori chicken.

Question: is the Target gonna have cart escalators like the ones in Ventura and Azusa?

The Target in Los Angeles's Eagle Rock Plaza also has cart escalators.

I was really hoping they'd get an In-n-Out there. Loteria is awesome though.
