LA Skid Row Karaoke: The complete video

A crowd gathers around the second TV to sing along.

Every week at "the church on the corner," Skid Row residents gather to sing karaoke. Whether you belt out a song by Prince or Destiny's Child, or an obscure tune nobody knows, there is always one constant: the 9 p.m. electric slide session.

These karaoke sessions at the Central City Community Church of the Nazarene have been going on for 15 years and have become a lifeline for many.

Pastor Tony Stallworth, who's now the senior pastor there, founded the night with the help of his wife (they both sing and do an amazing duet.)

Last week blogdowntown published a sneak peek of the evening, but now it's time to roll out the extended video.
