Windows were shattered as shots were fired in to building near 600 S. Olive St. in Downtown around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, according to LAPD Officer Wendy Reyes.

Hill Street was closed southbound between 6th and 7th Street to even pedestrian traffic as the LAPD searched for the gunman and possible victims.

In less than an hour the street was re-opened, according to LAPD spokeswoman Tenesha Dobine. Information on the shooter could not be disclosed, although there appears to have been no victims.

According to the L.A. Times the building that was hit was located at 631 Olive and that the shots may have come from an air rifle from a building at 629 S. Hill or from on top of the L.A. Athletic Club.
