Gourmet burger joint Umami Burger to open Umamicatessen Downtown. This new-school cafeteria will include The Back Bar, a full-service watering hole.

Umamicatessen on Broadway in downtown L.A. launches a happy hour menu on Tuesday that includes $5 draft beers, cocktails and an assortment of deals on ham by the ounce.

The roughly 7,000-square-foot, reinvented cafeteria will be offering price cuts on its meat-heavy menu from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Different vendors within the space are offering their own specials: The Back Bar reduces well cocktails to $5 each, and lowers draft beer prices to $5 for nine different brews, including Ranger IPA, Stone Pale Ale and Strand Beach House amber.

PIGG's selling all domestic hams in 1 ounce servings for half off, and The Cure's charging $5 for their fried chicken skin sandwich. Restaurant namesake Umami has specials on their short rib slider, truffle slider and bacon-wrapped hotdog, the "downtown dog."

Umamicatessen had its soft opening in early March. The DTLA space also includes coffee bar, Spring for Coffee and the donut/ice cream/dessert spot called And A Donut.
