FigOly, a restaurant opening Friday in the Luxe City Center Hotel, has a patio overlooking L.A. Live.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Tweet @FigOly with a date, time and number of people, and you might just score a spot at the restaurant on the corner of Figueroa Street and Olympic Boulevard opening Friday.

FigOly, the creation of "TopChef" contestant Alex Reznik, is described by the restaurant as having a "contemporary California menu featuring northern Italian influences."

The restaurant in the second-floor of the Luxe City Center Hotel, overlooking L.A. Live, is only accepting tweeted reservations during the first week for its soft opening.

Restaurant-goers can choose from two food menus - one in the dining room, and another in the spacious patio overlooking Figueroa Street, named FigOly Al Fresco.

The dining room menu is largely made up of shareable plates, like housemade Buffalo Mozzarella with macerated strawberries for $11, according to a statement by the restaurant. But it also includes some larger entrees, such as the Brasata al Barolo - a blend of beef cheeks and oxtail paired with gorgonzola polenta and shallots for $27.

FigOly Al Fresco's menu focuses on "handheld items primarily created in the restaurant’s woodburning oven," like veal and pork meatball sliders for $14 and pizzas topped with imaginative ingredients for $11 to $15.

The bar and lounge will be manned by L.A. bartender Matthew Biancaniello, known for his use of fresh herbs and produce at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Library Bar. One drink offered at FigOly will be the Mamma Mia - a blend of tequila, muddled red bell pepper, scallion, cilantro, agave syrup and applewood-smoked salt, the restaurant stated.

Twitter reservations have been rolling in in the days leading up to FigOly's opening. The restaurant's management is confirming reservations through direct message.

FigOly will be open daily for breakfast from 6 to 10:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular dinner business hours will be 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

FigOly is located at 1020 South Figueroa St.
