Man stabbed near Church and State in Arts District
The stabbing occurred in the Arts District near Church and State.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — UPDATED ON MONDAY AT 4:47 PM
A 23-year-old man was stabbed early Sunday morning near the Arts District restaurant, Church and State. Although the victim gave his work address as Church and State, LAPD now report the victim is actually a former employee of the eatery and was there late Saturday night visiting a friend.
According to police, the stabbing was caught on tape and they were able to see that the male victim was surrounded by three suspects somewhere near the restaurant and then stabbed once in the abdomen.
The victim was not attacked while taking out the garbage as previously reported by multiple media outlets.
The attack occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday in the area surrounding 1850 Industrial Street. Police say the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, but the investigation is ongoing.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the USC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Despite my best effort not to, I laughed at this.
Glad the victim is okay, and I hope they catch the perp.
