Grand Park will be hosting a soul/funk dance party Thursday night. The event starts at 5 p.m. and includes a live performance by Breakestra and DJ sets.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — This Thursday night DTLA's Grand Park continues to pick up the pace of programming with a nighttime, funk/soul dance party called appropriately enough...Funky Sole.

Funky Sole takes place every Saturday at Echo Park nightclub The Echo, but for tomorrow they're bringing the event Downtown.

The evening is free and goes from 5 p.m. to about 10:30 p.m. It will include two performances by Breakestra, a full service bar serving drinks on the grass and DJ sets by Funky Sole DJs.

The festivities take place across the street from the Civic Center Metro station, and will also include food truck offerings from the Grilled Cheese Truck, Green Truck and Surfer Taco.
