Sprinkles has the golden ticket for DTLA opening next week
As part of their opening day celebrations they'll be baking Golden Tickets -- worth $100 Sprinkles gift cards -- into select cupcakes.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Sprinkles Cupcakes, commonly credited for starting the cupcake craze in Los Angeles and elsewhere, will be opening a new shop at DTLA's Figat7th shopping complex.
The Beverly Hills-born, self-proclaimed "world's first cupcake bakery" will debut Downtown on March 6 at 9 a.m.
"Sprinkles Cupcakes are handcrafted from the finest ingredients, including sweet cream butter, bittersweet Belgian chocolate, pure Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, fresh bananas and carrots, real strawberries and natural citrus zests," says the company's website.
As part of Sprinkles' opening day celebrations in DTLA, they will be baking "Golden Tickets" into select cupcakes -- each found ticket is worth a $100 Sprinkles gift card. These prizes will be baked into different flavors throughout the day, so you may have to eat a lot of Red Velvet before you find one.
This chain cupcake store now has about 12 locations throughout the country, with five in Southern California alone. They have also just opened an ice cream story in Beverly Hills as well.
Sprinkles new Downtown location will be joining the food ranks of Figat7th that currently include The Melt, Juicy Lucy, George's Greek Cafe and many others.
