The Palace Theatre is one of Broadway's historic theaters that will be used for the Last Remaining Seats film series.

In further proof that summer isn't too far away, the L.A. Conservancy has released the line-up for their annual movie series Last Remaining Seats, which begins on June 1 in DTLA.

Every year historic and often underused theaters throughout Los Angeles are revived as Angelenos pour in to watch classic films and check out the grand architecture.

This year's season is scheduled to kick off the summer with a screening of To Catch a Thief at the Orpheum Theatre. This 1955 Alfred Hitchcock film stars Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, and is described by the Conservancy as a "romantic 'whodunit' caper set upon the picturesque backdrop of the luxurious French Riviera."

On June 5, ready your tissues for the screening of La Bamba at the Palace Theatre. This film depicts the life and times of rock 'n' roll star Ritchie Valens and includes performances by Lou Diamond Philips and Esai Morales.

While most of the screenings will take place in DTLA's Broadway theaters, there will be two showings of Casablanca at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. For a complete list of showings, check the Conservancy's website as they will be updating their film list as the event gets closer to its start date.

Tickets go on sale to Conservancy members March 27 for $16, and to the general public April 10 for $20.
