Chinatown Summer Nights starts this weekend, coinciding with the neighborhoods 75th anniversary.

Summer is heating up as is your social calendar. Here's a round-up of this week's events in DTLA, from the Arts District to Chinatown. This list is just a sampling of activities in the area so please let us know what we missed! You can share your plans in the comment section or on our Facebook page.

Chinatown Summer Nights festival: Celebrate Chinatown's 75th anniversary along with the first night of the neighborhood's summer festival. There will be live music, food trucks, an outdoor beer garden and "Iron Chef-style cooking competitions." The first night of the festival is June 15. The party starts at 5 p.m. and bands begin at 6 p.m.

"Dazed and Confused" 20th anniversary screening: Parker Posey, Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck will be showing up on the big screen in Downtown for an outdoor showing of "Dazed and Confused." Adam Goldberg — also an actor in the film — will be showing up in real life, making a special appearance at this Figtat7th screening. This Figueroa shopping complex has continued to expand over the past year, with multiple new additions to the TASTE food court, and the recent announcement of incoming clothing retailer, Zara. The screening is on Friday June 14 at 8:30 p.m. Pre-movie festivities start at 7 p.m.

"Artists on Tap" at Angel City Brewery: This art installation kicked off this week at the Downtown brewery and will be on display during normal business hours until July 7. The show features the work of 15 DTLA artists, and all revolve around one very appropriate theme; beer. Check out the art whenever the taproom is open. The brewery is open Mon. -Thurs. from 4:00pm – 10:00pm; Fri. 4:00pm – midnight; Sat. noon - midnight; Sunday noon – 10:00pm.

"Fight Club at the L.A. State Historic Park" The Historic Park has hosted everything from horrifying campouts to grilled cheese festivals. Now, there will be an outdoor screening of David Fincher's "Fight Club" accompanied by food trucks, including White Rabbit, Brasil Kiss and Crepe de Ville. Screening is June 15 and pre-movie events start at 5:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $10.

Los Angeles Film Festival: The film festival kicked off on Thursday and will continue until June 23. In addition to a jam-packed schedule of film screenings, there are parties galore and discussions with the filmmakers. This year's line-up also includes short films made by high school students, and a selection of music videos. Tickets for individual screenings cost $13. Packages and multi-day passes start at $80

Grand Park boot camp: With all the food truck-eating, beer-drinking and movie watching you're doing this week, you may feel ready for a workout. Grand Park's free, weekly workout lasts one hour and is designed for all fitness levels. Class begins at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday until September
