Umami Burger to open new location in Arts District this summer
The new Arts District Umami Burger will feature a special "Arts District inspired" burger.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtown's Arts District will soon be getting its very own Umami Burger restaurant — as well as its own specialty "Arts District inspired burger."
“Downtown Los Angeles has been a great neighborhood for us,” said Adam Fleischman, Founder and CEO of Umami Restaurant Group, in a statement. “The arts district has a great community of Umami Burger fans.”
The new burger chain outpost is slated to open this summer at 738 E. 3rd Street and include a menu of Umami's "greatest hits" burgers. The restaurant, dubbed Umami Arts District, will fit up to 60 people and include an outdoor courtyard.
"The space will draw inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood for an industrial feel, integrating local art and highlighting local furniture designers like Westin Mitchell Design Group," according to a press release.
This will be the second Umami to come to Downtown, following Umamicatessen that opened on Broadway last year. This 7,000-square-foot space is a type of upscale cafeteria with multiple vendors, including a bar, eateries and a coffee shop.
