Cleaning Up Main Street
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — If you want to see the kind of change that’s taking place in Downtown right now, this is a great example. I can’t remember the name of this building, but it’s right next to the Regent Theater on Main Street. Just a few nights ago they lit up these new lights on the exterior of the building that I think are really nice looking.
What they’ve done, though, is absolutely clear out that stretch of the block between Winston and 5th. This shot was taken just a few minutes ago – roughly 12:30am on a Thursday night. The front of the building (and that of the Regent) was empty. It was a night and day difference from the next block between 5th and 6th. And all this because they put some lights out.
