Two Saturday Tidbits
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Wolfgang Puck: I walked by the new Wolfgang Puck Express in the Library Court building today and was pleasantly surprised to find it open for business.
A few days ago I had been by and seen fruit sitting inside, so I knew it was only a matter of days. Unfortunately I had just come from Qdoba, so I was in no shape to stop in and eat.
Still Taped Off: Pershing Square is still all taped off, with the concrete courtyard open but little else accessible to the public. I talked to Captain Smith from Central Division the other day and he confirmed that LAPD had strung police tape, but that he’d see what he could do to get it taken down.
Of course that won’t do anything for the central grassy area that Pershing Square management shut off with their white chains. I’d say the community really needs to stay raising a fuss about it, but I don’t know how many people care enough about our concrete park to begin with.
