PDA: Show Public Transit Some Love
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
I know very little about this event, but on October 24th Global Inheritance is hosting a concert at Union Station called Public Displays of Affection. It’s the first in a series of shows “designed to show public transportation in Los Angeles some love.”
The band Secret Machines will be playing, and local purveyor of all things arts Shepard Fairey will be spinning. Price of admission: a subway ticket. Only caveat: you can’t buy the ticket at Union Station. You have to buy it elsewhere and ride in.
I love this idea. The LA Weekly and Indie 103.1 are involved as sponsors, so hopefully that’ll get it some good publicity.
For a slight bit more, check out this press release.
When: October 24th, 7:30pm - 10:30pm
Where: Union Station
