Main Street Gets Lit

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I didn’t really touch a computer since Wednesday, so it’s time to play a little catch-up.
I’m not sure exactly when these went up, but I noticed yesterday that Main street is sporting new pedestrian / transit lights. These are the same lights that are getting installed on 7th street. There, though, it’s a regular spacing for pedestrians. On Main the lights are huddled around bus stop locations.
They’re nice looking lights, and DOT had promised Main street transit lighting as part of the Spring street contraflow removal. It’s good to see them finally acting on that.

These lights were installed ‘round about the beginning of November, although they had been working on the footings and the electrical connections for quite a while before that.
They fit into the neighborhood nicely as they are both new and look old.
