Come Tour Downtown Housing

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Twice a month the Downtown Center Business Improvement District puts on a Saturday housing bus tour. I wrote about going on one back in February. It’s a fun way to see what’s on the market, whether you’re looking to buy or just looking to look. The tours are typically led by Downtown’s official salesman, Hal Bastian.

This Saturday, though, Hal’s out of town and the tour will be led by his assistant, Justin Weiss. While Justin steps into Hal’s spot I’ll take over as assistant and lead the second bus. Among others, properties on this week’s tour include 1100 Wilshire (pictured above in silhouette), Biscuit Company Lofts and the Eastern Columbia.

Only a few spots are still available, so if you want to come along pick up the phone and give the BID a call at 213-624-2146.

I would love to do the tour again. I’ve never seen Pegasus or Biscuit Lofts before and that would ben neat.. however we’re doing the TASTE event over at Disneyland’s California Adventure and probably wouldn’t be done with the downtown BID tour before we’d have to have already left for our afternoon at the park. =( I’d be weird to do a tour of our own building.. LOL! (then again that’s probably the only way to see what the penthouse looks like on the inside).
