Caltrans Gets a Little Bike Friendly
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A little over three years after opening, Downtown’s Caltrans Building has finally gotten a little bike friendly. Though the building houses both Caltrans District 7 and the City’s Department of Transportation, it has until now featured no external accommodations for those on two wheels. In fact, the only external nod to human-powered transport were stern signs prohibiting skateboarding, bicycle riding, rollerblading and scooter riding (pictured after the jump).
The four new racks installed on the building’s Main street side are both practical and attractive. They’re Bike Bike Racks made by the Dero Bike Rack Company, located in Minneapolis.

I spotted these rolling through downtown last night. Very cool.
