October’s Downtown Art Walk had the first visible dip in attendance since April. That didn’t concern many gallery owners who credit the reduction in – and in some cases the elimination of – alcohol being served during Art Walk night.
Still, Main street between 4th and 5th was filled with people lingering on the street well past 10pm. The crowd started outside Pete’s and stretched all the way past the Regent Theater. LAPD Looking for Pellet Gun Assailant at Santa Fe Lofts

LAPD Central Division is looking for information on a person or persons suspected of shooting a pellet gun down toward security guards and homeless individuals on 6th street. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 7th, and while no one was injured, officers aren’t taking this lightly.

City Finds Another $1 Million in Streetcar Funding

The City of Los Angeles got the construction of Upper 2nd Street done significantly under budget, and Councilman Jose Huizar wants to see the $1 million leftover put into the Downtown Streetcar project. The new funds come hot on the heels of $5 million approved by the Community Redevelopment Agency last week.
