Spring Street parklets now open for sitting, foosball and stationary cycling
These mini-parks located on Spring Street include artificial grass, wooden planters full of succulents and plenty of bench and chair seating. There are also two stationary bikes intended for exercise, as well as a foosball table.

New bike parking ordinance poised to shape future of LA developments

Councilman Huizar pledges $50,000 to keep Skid Row parks open -- for now

Babycakes vegan bakery closes its doors in DTLA
Babycakes NYC's location in downtown L.A. is closing leaving their Larchmont location to be their only storefront in L.A. The bakery will still be selling their allergen-sensitive baked goods at places like Erewhon and M Cafe.

Volunteers descend on Skid Row tonight for 'Homeless Count'
Beginning tonight, volunteers will survey homeless people on Skid Row as part of the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count. This event occurs every two years and aims to gather an accurate count of homeless people throughout the county.
