Major mixed-use plan announced for fashion district downtown

Ambitious plans have been unveiled for a 3.3-million-square-foot development that would bring a college, hotel, offices and apartments to the fashion district of downtown Los Angeles.

Two Spring Street parklets set to open in February

At this year's Chinese New Year Festival, organizers and attendees will attempt to break the world record for paper-folding by making 800,000 individually folded pieces of paper and then assembling them into a giant snake.
