Red Line Hours Extension on Thursday Metro Board Agenda

After having been pushed through City Council, the effort to extend the hours of the Red Line subway over the holidays takes another step forward on Thursday when it comes before the Metro Board of Directors. Directors Bernard Parks and Antonio Villaraigosa made the motion, which would direct Metro CEO Roger Snoble to implement the pilot.

This Spring, LADOT started rolling out “Park and Pay” stations in test locations around the city. The multi-spot devices are now coming Downtown, with a pair of the kiosks installed on Flower street between 8th and 9th and waiting to go into service. The devices allow payment by cash and credit, and feature online integration.
