Today is Monday, Mayl 4, and City Council's attention remains focused on the Mayor's proposed $7 billion budget as it goes into week two of hearings. Also on the agendas are Pershing Square parking rates, an extension of the supergraphics moratorium and a motion to move the Marathon back to March.
Many May Day Marches Set to Confuse Downtown

On Friday, five different marches will make their way through Downtown, all calling for changes in federal immigration policy. Three will make their way up Broadway, at 1pm, 3pm and 4:30pm.

It's Monday, April 13, and filming is the week's big-ticket item at City Hall. The filming services contract goes back to Public Works committee on Wednesday, with a third draft of the RFP that strips most specific timeframes from the requirements. Also up for discussion on Monday is the city's idea to sell parking assets to generate up-front revenue.

On Tuesday, April 14, Councilmembers Jose Huizar (CD14), Jan Perry (CD9) and Ed Reyes (CD1) will be in attendance for a special meeting of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council's Board of Directors. The three each represent a portion of Downtown, and the neighborhood council has scheduled time before the meeting for Downtowners to come by and say hello...
