Billionaire developer Philip Anschutz is committed to the idea of an NFL stadium in downtown Los Angeles and is willing to buy a team himself in order to make the deal work, his top executive said Monday.

Now if only Philip Anschultz could buy the Los Angeles Chargers and bring them back to Los Angeles. Fifty-one years is a long time to be away from the city where they began as an expansion team. After all these years there are still many Chargers fans here who continue to support the team.
