One Solution to Downtown Rail

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — I get back to Downtown this afternoon only to find a railroad crossing erected at the corner of 6th and Olive. I think I may have to mosey over there in just a little bit to take some pictures. It’s not every day you’ve got crossing bells Downtown. Anyone know what it is they’re shooting there?

Update (3:30pm): I walked over there and took a few pictures. It turns out it’s a BMW commercial shoot. Paraphrasing the guy I talked to, “That’s the gag, everyone stops for the car.” As I walked up the featured car made a fast turn from 6th north onto Olive. I didn’t catch what model, but I’m sure you’ll see it on TV.
