Looking Out from Daily Grill Eric Richardson

A couple weeks ago James Rojas tipped me off to what he called the best happy hour deal in Downtown: $2.99 chicken pot pie at the Daily Grill. Today my roommate and I walked over there at 4pm for a late lunch and after having tasted myself I'm happy to report that the pot pie lives up to James' commendations. Happy Hour runs 4 - 7pm during the week, and 5 - 7pm Saturday and Sunday. There are several other food choices (I supplemented my pot pie with some calamari), and a martini menu. The Happy Hour menu's available anywhere in the bar area, which includes eight or so high tables in the windows along Flower.

It's appropriate to include this picture looking out the window, since the party sitting at the table next to us commented that was their favorite feature of the place. Their table had four or five guys at it, presumably just getting off work in one of the nearby buildings. They came to the Daily Grill to sit, socialize, and engage in more than a little peoplewatching. Turns out those windows are pretty handy when you want to make comments about the girl walking by outside.
