Downtown LA Walks
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
Maybe I’m just out of it, but I didn’t notice until today that there was a website to go with the wayfinding signs we’ve talked so much about. The site – Downtown LA Walks – looks pretty snazzy and offers maps of the various districts and information on destinations.
I find it odd, though, that there are maps of the districts and destinations by district, but no maps that actually have the destinations on them. Speaking of which, where are the pedestrian maps that were supposed to be part of the wayfinding program?
Update (6:15pm): Jim commented that he had indeed seen the ped maps on 4th Street, and what do you know, they are there. This picture is from the corner of 4th and Olive. I saw another at 4th and Spring.

# on Nov.03.2005 AT 06:22 PMHi,
I've worked out a new idea which will be lead to enhancing the city maps making them pedestrian-friendly.
I invite you to my site www.pedemapia.com, hoping you will find the idea beneficial.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
