Downtown's Daffodil Blooms Under Shade
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A couple weeks ago I mentioned that Downtown's air raid siren daffodil had been taken down, and then posted that it would again rise in a different location. The other day I made it over there to check out the new spot, and I guess the best I can say is that it's shady.
From the south (the only direction of traffic), the daffodil is now pretty much invisible. The new location might be cool if you could now see the flower from the freeway, but the trees in between make that pretty unlikely.
Without knowing the footprint of AEG's plans for that part of the site I can't really say whether this spot will become better as we move forward. Right now, though, the daffodil is likely going to be doing a bit of hiding.
