There's a nice article on new Gallery Row space Crewest in today's Whittier Daily News. We stopped by Crewest during Art Walk and it definitely looks to be a cool addition to the Row.

The move provided an expansion from a 700-square-foot Alhambra gallery to a 2,100-square-foot site with 20-foot ceilings.

"Our client base really grew, so much so that our openings would have a ridiculous amount of overflow," Man One said. "The crowd grew too big for us to handle at the other space."

While the piece is kind to the gallery, it's especially friendly to Gallery Row itself. Not only are there quotes from Gallery Row Org members Cheyanne Sauter and Kimba Rogers, but Crewest itself gets in on the praise:

Moving to Gallery Row also introduces Crewest to a larger artistic community.

"We were very isolated at the other location. Now we're very much a part of the Gallery Row community," Man One said. "We have much more support as far as cross promotion is concerned. It feels really good being part of the downtown art scene."

Stuff like that is always fun to hear.
