Walk-Up Pastries

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The last few mornings I've passed this scene on my walk in to work. LA Grand Event is a breakfast and lunch cafe at the corner of 7th and Grand and recently they've been selling pastries and coffee to walk-by customers. On the way to work, too busy to stop? Just grab what you want and pay as you go. Cash only, of course.

I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure whether they just started up or whether I just didn't notice before, but I hope it does well enough that they keep it up.
