Is Ashes and Snow the Next Cherry 7-Up?

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — In what seems like ancient history for Downtown, a year ago I posted about the Cherry 7-Up sign on the Cameo getting covered up. The ad had been there for close to twenty years. As Franklin Avenue said, 7-Up got its money’s worth.

But then a new ad appeared touting the Ashes and Snow exhibit’s run in Santa Monica. The show ran from January 14th to May 14th, 2006.

Here we are in January of 2007 and the Ashes and Snow sign is still up. I know it’s early, but could this new sign become the new Cherry 7-Up?
