Fire on 7th
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — I was walking down 7th street this morning when I saw a bit of an odd sight. The corner of 7th and Grand had an altogether unusual amount of smoke coming from it. On closer inspection it turned out some trash was on fire.
A pair of LAPD officers were on scene working to keep the flames down with an extinguisher. Despite that, it just wouldn't go out until LAFD showed up and parked the truck where they could just open a nozzle on it. They didn't even get a hose out.
Update (Feb 5th): This post is coming up high on fire searches today, so if you're looking for info about today's Broadway blaze, you can find that here.
