Sub Shop Showdown
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
I thought I was going to see a sub shop spokesman duel at lunch today as I came across the “mascots” for both Subway and Quizno. When I first saw them the two were within a block of each other on 6th street. Both were in feisty moods.
The Quizno cup seemed to be patrolling the entire perimeter of the Biltmore block, while Subway’s sandwich was confined mostly to the corner of 6th and Hope.
Sadly, no direct confrontation was to be had.
Comments
The Quiznos mascot was passing out "expired" coupons last Friday.
