Fresh Fare Loves to Talk About Fresh Fare Opening

I as well would be happy if they would open on schedule. I went downstairs to get he mail and there are notices up near the elevators remind ing folks of the “rumored opening” of Friday the 10th from the Downtown News.. Our leasing office is trying to be funny. =)

Saw in Downtown News that Ralph’s is looking at designs for a First & Grand location. You guys got any more info? With news of that, and the rumbling of a Whole Foods at L.A. Central, seems like the naysayers out there are going to have to eat their words.

O.k. You know , is Ralph’s trying to seduce us with red bell pepper butt crack? My goodness, how can this grocery store send out information with photos of naked , seducing ,artists rendition of bell pepper butt. NOt to mention Red Bell Pepper. I think they have gone way too far.

Maybe I’ve been missing something, but one thing has been conveniently left out of all the Ralphs Fresh Fare literature I’ve received… the hours! Anyone know how late this sucker will be open? Is 24hr asking too much?

I hope they’re 24-hour like most of the Ralphs locations around here.

Most likely open till 9 or 10 PM like everyone else. Oh… Trader Joe’s why don’t you join us ? if you only knew what you were missing.

Trader Joe’s, hell! I want a 99 Cent Only Store!

I know we have one at Washington and San Pedro, and at MacArthur Park. I shop at both of those and they are both too far away. I’m talking about a 99 Cent right on Broadway! It would fit in pretty well right there, wouldn’t it? And there’s a few open spaces right now they could take.

I wish there was a downtown Trader Joe’s. With the bus rate increase, it’s not really worth it to take use a day pass to get there, but it takes 4 buses. With the Ralph’s opening up we’ll be shopping there but still making TJ’s our primary grocery. The husband prefers the milk from there for some reason. Milk is milk says me, as long as it’s on sale. =)

What about the Tesco that we keep hearing about intermittently?

Still, looking forward to Friday! Hope it opens without too much trouble on the union front.

I guarantee that Trader Joe’s (especially in Silver Lake & 3rd/La Brea) are going to get a ‘hit’ in sales due to the Ralph’s opening in downtown.

how much is Ralph’s spending on their ad campaign anyway?? I just got another full color glossy postcard in the mail.. that makes 3 now plus the fullpage ad thing in the paper. I hope they think it’s worth it.

The news started breaking last night that the threat of a strike by the grocery workers union has passed due to a negotiated settlement that still needs to be ratified by the union’s membership.

Kroger can now open their much anticipated Ralph’s Fresh Fare with its opening weekend festivities unencumbered by the fear of a looming strike.
