DotDotDash: Art is Fun Edition

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — DDD returns with the opening of … well everything. Opening receptions will be heavy during Thursday’s September Downtown Art Walk and Downtown Los Angeles will be filled with neon, sculpture, video art and the usual suspects; so catch all of Gallery Row on the free Arts Walk DASH. This path starts at 4th and Spring and goes south before coming back and around ending at the Bradbury Building, all after the jump:

Collection of Lights: The still homeless Museum of Neon Art brings major pieces to the ground floor of the Continental Building (4th and Spring) and will hold an opening reception from 6-9pm. ..— Collection of Artists: Spring Arts Collective at the Spring Arts Tower (453 S Spring St) will host works by Carol Ashley, Andy Cline, Cody Cloud, Bryan de Roo, Michael Gardner, Kelly Holden, Cassidy Sullivan and many more. Look for the lights in the window.

More Culture: Gallery Crewest's show "River City Visionz" will have the official opening reception Saturday, September 15, but you can preview the month-long exhibit and series of events inspired by the L.A. River during Art Walk. M.J. Higgins previews abstract work by Jennifer Rae Ochs from 6pm to 9pm. It's called "Celebrated Moments."
