Today the Wired Nextfest opens to the public at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Nextfest is an exhibition of cutting edge technology in an array of fields such as robotics, communications, medicine, entertainment, environmental, transportation and more. Yesterday was the press preview and I took some photos of the excellent and entertaining exhibits. There are over 20 robots on display not to mention the hundreds of other non-robotic exhibits.

The Wired Nextfest takes place in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center from Friday September 14th through Sunday September 16th. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, $5 for kids 2-12 and free for kids under 2. Tickets are available here. You can view more photos from the Wired Nextfest here on eecue.com.

Pictured is Chroino, a little robot that features a very human-like walk.

Do you know if you can buy tickets at the door? Ordering online costs and extra $9.25 ($8 "service fee" and an even more absurd $1.25 "delivery fee").

This turned out to be a great event. If you missed it you might want to consider it next year. The kids loved it too.

Btw, love the photo pool concept. Keep up the excellent work
