Back at the Globe
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The big question at "Bringing Back a Broadway Sign", where we noted the return of the Globe Theater neon, was when the new letters would once again be lit.
Last night we got half the answer, as the northern half of the marquee once again glowed. A nearby shop owner reported hearing that the southern half would be similarly lit come this evening.
Now the better question becomes when the building will get that fluorescent tubing covered up and put something in the marquee to complement the neon lettering.

The future is a marque that reads: "740 Club around back in alley, now with improved metal detectors!"

So, hey everybody, the Roosevelt had its scaffolding removed! Looks like the whole facade is done too, with new glass on all the storefront.
