Flowers in Spring, on Spring
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — April 1 was opening day for new flower shop Floral Touches, bringing retail to the Spring street side of SB Lofts. Floral Designer Kelli Martinez, seen here with her father, Mike, had a quiet grand opening for her small new store at 548 S. Spring St.

I wonder what prompted their choice of location. Any idea on hours? A phone number would be handy, too. There's meter parking on Spring, right?
I love having a floral shop within walking distance. Years ago I lived at Grand Central. I loved having a flower shop right in the market. (Now, sadly gone.) I'm a sucker for buying flowers. I'll make a point to check it out. Hopefully, local residents will do likewise.

we picked up some flowers there the other day -- my wife reports the prices are reasonable, and we love the flowers.
# on Apr.03.2008 AT 04:34 PMWe just booked our wedding with flower touches. They have a great slide show of work. The store is beautiful. Prices are fantastic!
# on Apr.05.2008 AT 03:07 PMSo I stopped by this weekend with the kids. I picked up a large lily for my wife. It is a very nice little shop. The selection of flowers was good, although I'd prefer more cut flowers. The space has a lot of natural light.
The owner was very friendly. Hopefully, she'll be able to attract some decent staff. She kindly gave each of my kids a carnation, which they were delighted to receive. They proudly showed them off as we headed home. When we got there, I promptly turned them into a mini bouquet for the dinner table.
We'll definitely be back.
