Little Tokyo during August's Nisei Week festivities.

This weekend brings the Cherry Blossom Festival to Little Tokyo and an Art Walk to the Brewery. It's a weekend to get out and just enjoy Downtown.

GARDEN PARTY: The twice a year Art Walk at the former Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery (North Main and the I-5) may be even more popular this year. Not only will you see artists live in their natural habitat, their gardens will be on display. The LAT looks at how loft dwellers recycle plants and grow them in found containers. "These gardens -- many open during the Brewery Art Walk this weekend -- aren't just expressions of art from living material or a relaxing hobby. They seem to be planted and nurtured in hot opposition to the loud, edgy surroundings of the Brewery." Brewery Art Walk Spring 2008 and i5 Gallery Show. 2100 N. Main Street @ Avenue 20 Los Angeles, CA 90031 (Lincoln Heights)

FASHION BLOOMS: In Little Tokyo, the 7th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival of Southern California will be held April 5-6 and celebrate Japanese traditions. The festival will also present some fashion shows. On Saturday, a Kimono Runaway show will be offered, while on Sunday more modern wear will be shown, including designs from Sue Wong, Citron Clothing, Plum Pudding and Jimmy Au.
