Overlooking the Arts District
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Late Friday afternoon and later into the evening, graffiti artist Thomas Burns painted this street style Mona Lisa on Rose between Traction and East 3rd – the far west end of Joel Bloom Square. Burns was hired by a production company filming a soft drink commercial over the weekend.
Producers Mike Tarzian and Art Director Mike Hersey hope the owners of the building, and the neighborhood in general, keep the mural up after filming is completed.
If it stays, I will call it the "Soda Lisa."

Mona Lisa? Mona Washington is more like it. The artist must have something going about dollar bills.

The artist is very creative because to paint a picture that large he has to know what he is doing. Great Job!
