A common complaint since the opening of L.A. Live's restaurants in December is that the complex's parking policies make stopping in for a bite a pricey affair. This month that situation got a littler better, with new pricing offerings intended to accommodate non-event stays. The first 90 minutes is now just $5, with some restaurants offering validations to...

Press releases from Coca-Cola tout the December 13 "Live Positively Holiday Parade" as the first in an annual tradition, but Downtowners can be excused for not knowing what to expect. There's been little press for the event, and a skeleton website provides little more than where and when.
The parade is an import from south of the border, part of "Caravana Navidena Coca-Cola," a decade-old 27-city Mexican holiday event. The Downtown running marks the first time the event has made its way into the United States. — Continued Inside...

Though you can easily find this venue map posted on kiosks at Nokia Plaza and available as part of a cool fold-out print piece, you would be hard-pressed to find a map of L.A. Live's restaurants on the complex's website. We thought that might be something you would be curious about before visiting.

By Ed Fuentes and Eric Richardson — December 03, 2008 — 5 Comments
|Photo Gallery| Crews were hard at work on Tuesday running cables and stocking bars at the new Conga Room. There's always a lot to be done when opening a music venue or restaurant. When that venue is part of the $2.5 billion L.A. Live and features a restaurant, broadcast facilities and a lighting system that can instantly change the feel of the entire space, those last-minute logistics are multiplied.
But with just two days to go before a December 4 soft-opening, the scene at Conga Room was surprisingly calm. — Continued Inside...
