Services For an Angel Underway

Media observes from across Temple street as the casket holding actress Farrah Fawcett is led into the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Downtown's Cathedral is Our Lady of the Charlie's Angel this afternoon, as private funeral services are being held at this hour for Farrah Fawcett, who passed away last Thursday.
As can be expected, press, entertainment news crews, paparazzi, and fans are lined up across the street from the Cathedral, while helicopters are planted overhead. Traffic is not being diverted away from Temple until the procession after the service.
The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, which opened in 2002, replaced the much smaller Saint Vibiana's Cathedral as home of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
