Checking In on LA Live
If you haven't made it down to peer at the LA Live construction lately, it's worth a trip to see how work is progressing. The Nokia Theater opens in October, and that quick date is finally starting to look feasible from the exterior.
Pictured is a crane that's being used to hoist advertising and lighting towers in the plaza space that'll run between the Staples Center and the theater. They've also put in some trees over the last week, adding a nice touch of green to the concrete and metal construction.
Drive by the site late in the evening and you'll find out just how much emphasis is being placed on getting this all done on time. Crews are working late hours to get things cleaned up in time for the first theater events and the opening of basketball season soon after.
