ArtSeen 2006 on Gallery Row
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Fresh off their first fundraiser, has another gig going as they help facilitate . This time the proceeds don't go to Gallery Row but to AIDS research. Everything kicks off tomorrow (Tuesday) with an "Opening Night Artists Reception" on Gallery Row. Basically it's a rare non-Thursday Art Walk that'll run from 6pm - 9pm. Participating will be , , , , , , , and . Food and entertainment will be at various galleries and there will be a pair of shuttles to move people between the venues.
Then on Saturday the real event occurs as the art moves to Union Station's historic ticket hall for an auction. Tickets for the 9/30 event will run you $75, but that'll also get you food from "A Taste of Downtown", featuring eats from all sorts of great Downtown establishments.
Between this, the event at the Oviatt Penthouse and their other recent events, Gallery Row has been doing a great job of getting people into places that are usually off-limits to the public.
