James Rojas and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa discuss Rojas' model of planned transit projects in Los Angeles in June.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Planner James Rojas will be leading folks interested in transportation through his signature interactive modeling process in a trio of workshops on Saturday, helping anyone interested to build a model showed how high-speed rail should work for Los Angeles.
The sessions at El Pueblo's Pico House take place at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. They're part of , the new planner-backed rail group that Rojas co-chairs.
Participants will use blocks, legos and other odds and ends to create their transit cityscapes.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was among those on-hand to introduce Rojas' model of Los Angeles transit projects last month. It was Rojas' last project as a planner for Metro.
