L.A. Live Opens 800 Spaces in East Garage, Offering Cheaper Parking for Diners

On January 20, L.A. Live's Nokia Plaza hosted a viewing party for the Presidential Inauguration. Parking at that event was free.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A common complaint since the opening of L.A. Live's restaurants in December is that the complex's parking policies make stopping in for a bite a pricey affair. This month that situation got a littler better, with new pricing offerings intended to accommodate non-event stays. The first 90 minutes is now just $5, with some restaurants offering validations to reduce that.
The new rates apply to the East Garage, accessible off of Olympic at Francisco street. Construction on the garage just completed, opening up 800 new spaces. It's $5 for the first 90 minutes, and $5 per 30 minutes after that (with a maximum of $20).
The says that "some tenants provide validation for timed parking in the East Garage," but a representative for the complex said today that it's not yet set who will be participating.
